
Before we moved to West Creston, we lived in town, on Elm Street. In the backyard there was a lovely oak tree, which I recreated in stained glass.
I added 2 little crows to the tree, sitting on a branch.
In the photo to the right you can see the piece, which is hanging under the stairs which lead to the loft.
Usually this is part of our plant wall, but the plants are summering on the deck presently.

From time to time we've been delighted by little surprises that the sun sends our way. It happened again this morning when this appeared on the refrigerator door:

It may seem blurry, but I'm not about to claim that the sun doesn't know what it's doing when it comes to casting shadows.
And, as Gregory Maquire said, "The eye is always caught by light, but shadows have more to say."
