A Banner Day!

Today started with more cleaning; I try to do something productive every day. I know people who've put their houses up for sale often say that once the house is all cleaned and fixed up, they begin to question their plan to leave. I'm not at that point, but I have to say it's feeling really good to clean and sort through things and sell or donate stuff that we just don't use.

As I'm doing all of this, I have to keep in mind that we have two blind dogs. For example, if I move a piece of furniture, I try to clean quickly so I can move it back, thus not creating confusion for the puppers.

Our oldest dog isn't blind, but she suffers from anxiety and confusion. Earlier today, she got high-centered on the lowest rung of the ladder. She froze, which was fortunate, because she could have hurt herself. We worked it out and carried on.

This afternoon we installed two banners along the fence line which runs parallel to the road in front of the house:

Already we've seen cars slow down to read the signs as they drive by. It's a no-through-road, so there's not a lot of traffic, but still it feels good to finally "get the word out" in real life, not just on the internet.

Thank goodness for the internet though; the website is being viewed from people all over the world, mostly from Canada, the US and the UK. Surprisingly to me, the country coming in 4th is Saudi Arabia. Would you have guessed that?
